Raised in the Bay Area, Oliver Ousterhout left his full-time job as an engineer to pursue and study the art of filmmaking. Filmmaking allows Oliver to explore his world and the people around him in a way he was unable to do before. He is humbled that his participants invite him into their lives to share their worlds with him. With empathy and care, Oliver has witnessed the collapse of a marriage and confessions of why it failed; the reunion of family, the restorations of ones hopes, the awakening of a suppressed sexuality, and the excitement of new relationships. Oliver makes and seeks to create films that are sensitive and nuanced, and that look beyond clichés.
